Enrichment
Our curriculum is designed to meet more than the academic development of students. We also look to provide opportunities for them to develop socially, emotionally, creatively and for them to widen their experiences. We weave enrichment activities and sessions through our curriculum. In addition to the skills and expertise of our own staff we also collaborate with external specialists and providers to further broaden the range of what we can offer. Here are some examples of the enrichment opportunities our students experience:
- Catering short courses at Blackpool and Fylde College
- Bespoke cooking sessions on site.
- Forest School.
- Gardening and Horticulture.
- Tailored additional sports tasters such as roller skating.
- Martial Arts.
- Arts and Crafts.
This is in addition to visits and trips that we offer throughout the year.
We also give students opportunities to hear from external specialists and different voices on topics that are important to staying safe, being happy, and contributing positively.
- Knife Crime
- Gangs
- Healthy Relationships
- Careers
